Uniflo has been supplying Fluid Loading and Unloading equipment for mining sector of Kazakhstan to operate in most severe environment. Successful installations of CCL unloading and loading arms include Benkala and Ayakkodzhan Copper mines, Stepnogorsk Plant, Aktogai and Bozshakol copper mines where equipment has been installed to handle concentrated sulfuric acid.
When dilution of sulfuric acid is required, PTFE lined Injection Tees and Static Mixers has been used in number of installations. UniFlo offer static mixers manufactured from stainless steel materials.

Geosynthetics have been widely used in various construction applications in many industries. Their main functions are following: separation of soil layers, making a barrier to fluids and gases, providing drainage to carry fluid flows, filtration, reinforcement and protection of soil layers.
- Geotextiles form the largest group of geosynthetics. They are indeed textiles in the traditional sense, but consist of synthetic fibers rather than natural ones, such as cotton, wool or silk. Geotextiles are porous to water flow across their manufactured plane and also within their plane, but to a widely varying degree.
- Geomembranes represent the second largest group of geosynthetics. They are impervious thin sheets of rubber or plastic material used primarily for linings and covers of liquid- or solid-storage facilities. Thus, their primary function always is as a liquid or vapor barrier.
- Geonets constitute another specialized segment of the geosynthetics area. They are usually formed by a continuous extrusion of polymeric ribs at acute angles to one another. When the ribs are opened, relatively large apertures are formed in a netlike configuration. Their design function is completely within the drainage area where they have been used to convey fluids of all types.
- Geogrids represent a small but rapidly growing segment of the geosynthetics area. Geogrids are plastics formed into a very open, gridlike configuration, i.e., they have large apertures. Often they are stretched in one or two directions for improved physical properties. By themselves, there are at least 25 application areas, and they function in two ways: reinforcement and separation.
Especially in mining industry, geomembranes have been used for decades for containment of hazardous and non-hazardous liquids. Pond lining is one of the most common applications for PE geomembrane use.
UniFlo is a distributor of press filters produced by Evoqua Water Technologies (former Siemens Water Technologies) and we delivered and successfully installed press filters to several end users in Kazakhstan, such as uranium mining and copper mining applications.
